Outstanding cover, so thankful Dweezil continues to slay these incredible covers of his dad. That tone is just ridiculous, and the two singers absolutely nail the vocals. Thanks for posting.

His father can be proud of him in the sky...What a chance to have had a father like that...and what a solo \ just great!

Dweezil you need to be up belting this out harder than the other singers. This song really show the collaboration of your father, who I saw over 35 times, and Mr Duke, and Mann I was a kid and seeing Tina and the Ikells dancing their assessment off this little Sicilian boy was hot from, they were so great here and on Overnight. You need to do a Dweezil plays Dweezil .

I love this song. I've been playing it for weeks now. Funny how Zappa stuff never ages. "Are we moving to slow have you seen us Uncle Remus?" "just keep your nose to the grindstone they say" "will that redeem us Uncle Remus? "I can't wait til my fro is full grown - I'll just throw my do rag at home..." and here I am at work trying to go as fast as I can but apparently, I'm "moving too slow" and all I can hear on an eternal loop is this song - damn Frank. I miss you so. You and me 'we'll take a ride to Beverly Hills, just before dawn...and knock the little jockeys off the rich peoples' lawns and before they get up, we'll be gone' - I still miss you. Thanks Dweezil for keeping it REAL and for keeping his and your legacy alive. Saw you here not a month ago Denver, Colorado land...and as always you are and remain fabulous along with that band of yours.

Frank was so unique in that, although HIS instrument of choice was the Guitar, he made songs that HIGHLIGHTED OTHER instruments: Brass, Drumz, Percussion, Bass, Vocals, Synths, the Synclavier, and in this case The Piano (for more study see his "Lather" album). He was/is the "Composer's Composer". Whilst amazing, the Guitar in this song is NOT the featured instrument but instead the "icing on the cake" SQUIRTED upon the Piano so to speak. Amazing Composer. Zappa will LIVE forever in the hearts and minds of Musicians and Fans Worldwide forever. And THANK YOU "Dweeze" for giving NEW audiences the opportunity to experience his body of work.

I saw (heard) Dweezil play this in Frankfurt a few years back and the audience sang along. It was such a wonderful thing to be sourrounded by hundreds of people who knew the words to "Uncle Remus". Where else could that happen nowadays ? Uncle Remus remains one of Franks best!

The stage hand in the background just smiling & singing along. That would’ve totally been me as well if I were that guy. Beautiful song, great performance!

Uncle Remus is a great song no doubt. Just remarking about the social unrest in the country

Really cool. I saw a band play that song at the Detroit Jazz Festival with Joe Bruce, who owns Groovin' High Records in Chicago.

Got fucking floored by that lick at 3:22 and played it at least thirty times

That is some fine guitar playing by Zappa and singing by the group.

Just love the intro, so brilliant and ”of course, that is how the harmony should be moving along”😊👍

That male Lead Vocalist look like the Caveman from the GEICO commercials

Yep, i was there. I discovered Frank's music around 1989. Too late to see the master perform. But i guess it won't get any better then this.
