If you keep it in the fridge in a Tupperware or glass container smooth it out and cover with a layer of cold water, pour it off next time you pull it out to and give it a stir works perfect!

That's alotta guac! It will freeze beautifully, esp since you took out the watery bit of the tomato. I put in zip lock bags & it only gets dark near the top - because I don't have any fancy equipment to pull all the air out.

I have frozen guacamole quite successfully in the past so this is an excellent idea the next time avocados are on super sale. If I am keeping it in the fridge, putting some saran wrap on the top before putting a lid on the container will also help keep it from turning brown so quickly, for those of us without vacuum sealers.

Back when I was on a raw food diet, I ate a LOT of salads -- two a day -- with 2 small or medium avocados in every salad. I also sometimes added soaked sunflower seeds. I even at nuts sometimes (though I am simply not addictive toward them at all when they are raw). And though I would NOT do this today, I also added olive oil (and -- gasp -- salt). I also frequently made homemade almond milk sweetened with dates. My weight loss was slower than I keep hearing about in the SOS-free community, but I did lose 120 lbs. in 18 months. This makes me unafraid of using avocados and seeds (and nuts in moderation) and when I do I do not feel that I am cheating at all. The weird thing for me -- and this is true with most diets I have ever done -- my body holds onto the weight as long as it possibly can, even a couple or few months like it did when I was on raw diet. Then all of a sudden -- BOOM -- where did that 50 lbs. go?! I'm older now (in my late sixties) so I'm feeling good about NOT losing weight too fast. I know it will give my skin more time to adjust, etc. Meanwhile, I just feel so darn good on this diet and it is starting to taste so good to me, I'm just STOKED. I take walks every day too, but with that as well am starting slow and waiting for my body to urge me to do more, as it has always done in the past. But, I'm a not a doctor, and maybe avoiding avocados is important for reversing different conditions. (I hope not, because I have some to reverse -- but I just trust they are okay.)

I haven't been a fan of guac or avocados until recent years. I have a lot of weight to lose so I won't be making and eating this anytime soon, but I enjoy your vids! I love that you save the veggie scraps for veggie stock!

Nice! I absolutely love guacamole, but I rarely have it because of the calorie density. I have lost 75 lbs and I’m at my goal weight, but I’m still very cognizant of how fast I can absorb a tasty treat like this. Only once in a while, will I have some guacamole. I usually make some then give most of it away to friends, so I don’t overindulge.. Lol!

My lazy guac - 1/2 Avocado + garlic powder. Put on salad and eat. Yum. Also using a fork to sherd the Avocado while it is still in the skin makes life much easier.

Mmh guac!! Just wanted to chime in and mention that the avocado maneuver at 7:57 can be somewhat high risk if your knife is dull

If you smash the unpeeled clove of garlic with the flat side of your knife against the clove and give a good wack using the palm of your hand into that flat knife the paper will just fall off the gar.ic clove easy peasy making cleaning garlic not a chore :)
