So first, he took the job of a string quartet, then a small string ensemble and now a full-scale orchestra, meanwhile our jaws are dislocated from being dropped so many times by these performances. There are no words strong enough to express my utter astonishment and reverence.

When all the other musicians don't show up for the concert, this guy is like " I got this".

I have always wondered what contemporary people felt like when seeing Paganini perform. Now I think you're the closest experience to such thing.

Probably even pianists are trembling at the amount of notes Roman is playing

I am in disbelief in how he hasn't become insanely popular. I personally don' think there is anyone to have ever existed that could ever do what he can do

Respect for the videographer or director who made sure to give us clear shots of his hands during the most insane chord shapes and passages as opposed to focusing on something else.

This man is the purest form of a soloist.
A true soloist doesn't need an orchestra, he is the orchestra.

As a professional violinist, I must say this was downright maddeningly astonishing. Never heard anything like it, it takes violin playing to a brand new standard.

I’m not sure people understand the levels this guy has reached in his craft. I legitimately think this may be THE highest achievement in history by a human. Those who’ve spent countless hours playing the violin understand this. A small percentage of violinists can reach levels where you can play Paganini and Ernst quite well, and you’ll still NEVER be able to do the things this guy can do. And it’s not even just that he’s able to play the notes, which in itself would be close to impossible for many due to not having even the sheer physical abilities, he plays incredibly musically. It’s like, if everyone is trying to achieve a 3:30 mile run, and then all of a sudden someone comes and does a 2:30 mile run.

I have studied violin myself and I have seen and heard many great violinists, but Roman Kim is revolutionizing the whole violin-technique. You have to go back to Paganini to find somebody that innovative and groundbreaking.

Unbelievably innovative and powerful. It sounds like 4 players at once, but that's not surprising from Roman

Marvelous! This redefines what a violin can do: complex polyphony with clear voicing, unprecedented dynamic range, full of texture and color changes mimicking different instruments… I think Beethoven himself would be amazed.

He turned Beethoven’s 5th into paganini, this is insane, you can even hear the individual instruments that play in this symphony, on a single violin too

This pushes the boundaries of what i thought was possible on the violin

There were Corelli, Viotti, Tartini and then Paganini. There were Ernst, Wieniawskie, Sarasate and NOW we have Roman Kim!!!!

He uses harmonics to replace the woodwind instruments. Incredible.

This video in July 2022 only has 233, 000 views. Baby Shark has over 10 BILLION. I do not understand this world we live in.

Why is Roman Kim not insanely famous ? It is simple -- he is absolutely unique, and has gone far beyond the range and scope of a normal concert violinist. People without musical discrimination (or ones filled with jealousy) work behind the scenes to discredit him or play down his accomplishments. And who knows, he may well be high functioning Aspergers and doesn't know how to (or care to) play the political scene you have to play to get the most elite doors opened. It is disgusting -- far more people deserve to hear his genius. Truly one of a kind.

The first solo “polyphonic” virtuoso violinist/composer to eclipse and even surpass the great Paganini. This is tantamount to “one giant leap”.
What a great privilege to behold this astonishingly gifted genius deliver yet another unprecedented and unrivaled performance milestone in music.
Will virtuosi be courageous enough to take on this piece as part of their repertoire? Perhaps, but these masterpieces will stretch and task us “mere mortal” violinists beyond our limitations of dexterity and precision.
Witnessed here indeed is audacious and ground-breaking mastery and creative prowess.
One need only listen to solo works such as his “I Brindisi”, “Dies Irae”, Mozart “Eine Klein Nachtmusik”, and “Sanctus et Agnis”, to see the powerful progression.
Like Paganini, Kim’s innovative music/techniques will continue to evolve and transcend, freeing us from the mediocrity of conformity, redefining what is possible with a bow and four strings.🎻
