I was at manchester pride in august and it was very sad to see that some muslims who participated in the parade chose to wear a mask or to cover their face, most likely because of how dangerous it is for them. Still they’re very brave and I hope it’ll work out for them one day 🩷

Poor Ali... you can see there is still a remnant of fear inside him, and I can't blame him. Hope you the best, my man

if only humanity could move away from religion and be free.

I wouldn't spend money in a country or city that makes being a gay person illegal.

I would never travel to any country in the middle east.

I'm still in the closet, and I'm from the Middle East, but I'm from Jordan,   so it's not illegal to be gay here.

However, being gay in Jordan is not widely accepted by society, and LGBT people face discrimination and abuse from their families, communities, and authorities. There are no legal protections for LGBT people against discrimination or hate crimes, and public displays of affection can be punished as "disrupting public morality". LGBT people often have to hide their identity or lead double lives to avoid social stigma and violence.

It's so sad because it's such a richly cultured area full of incredibly beautiful guys.

I'm not gay but my best friend was gay (I say "was" because we're not friends anymore, sadly) and he was raised in a hardcore Catholic household. Often he would cry because of the ridicule and criticism he received from his own family; they didn't accept him. Eventually tho his family learned to accept him just like I did. There's nothing wrong with being gay, accept people for who they are rather than their life choices, which is why he became my best friend in the first place; he was cool people (that and bro was like the best wingman lol). Unfortunately like I mentioned before he's not friend anymore and although we don't talk anymore I still respect him, and that's what it's all about; respect.

That’s why I’d never go on vacation to any of those countries. They’re not getting my money until they change

I'm gay and 17yrs old and living in Dubai, School is hell here and people here are soo homophobic like even the teachers too. They make jokes that are just stupid you have to pretend to laugh otherwise your "gay" which I don't even understand why that's bad. I did come out to my parents back when i thought that things weren't that bad and they are kinda weird abt it and honestly they ignore it and think that I'm going thru some phase and I don't know anything bla bla bla(btw I actually didn't come out, My parents caught me drawing something related to the lgbtq and asked me why i drew that and i had no choice but to say). I want to leave the UAE and go to a place safer for me but the problem is that i have to get rlly high marks for my final exam and the pressure and stress is just exhausting. If i fail, I don't rlly know what to do then cause my chance of being me and free will prob be gone and well i wont be able to live happily...I'm scared that I might yk end it cause i rlly got no one to talk to abt this and thas why am writing all this shi here....sometimes you wish u weren't gay so that none of this woulda happened. I just hope that I escape

“They’re homophobic but they want gay money” is the shortest and most brilliant explanation for “conservative brain” I’ve ever heard. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

And that actually why we don't go there. Want the money but yet we're illegal. Oh hell no.
