I booked a hostel for that night. Quite a nice place, not far from the venue. Well, it just so happened that they situated me on the top bunk….of a 3 bed bunk bed. Man, my old ass climbing the ladder to the top, then try and Tetris my body round the right way. It was blooming high! And don’t get me started on when I woke up at 3am needing the toilet, and couldn’t get down haha. Well worth it, it was a great night. Happy I could make it, and thanks for visiting us Scots.

Hats off to the trusty Stratocaster. Expensive custom copies can be great, but as you've demonstrated, with a little tune-up, an out of the box Fender can be great time and time again for relatively short change. Hope your tour is satisfying and successful.

I admire Mary so much for her guts and drive to setup and go on tour! It must be incredibly stressful!!! I sure hope that it's working out on the positive for her financially...? So many stories of musicians touring on the road, driving themselves in insolvency.

You sounded great, Mary, acoustic and electric sets! The scene brought back very old and cool memories from back in Texas.

The Bass VI was not the first octave down 6 string, that was a Danelectro, but Fender put the Jazzmaster vibrato on theirs, so bass with a whammy bar. The Beatles used one (usually when Paul was on piano, John or George would play the Bass VI). A lot of American country artists used it as well, sometimes as a double effect with another bass for a "tic tac" sound.
