The U.S. military has about 125 military satelites.
The Russian military has around 75.
Everyone knows what everyone else is doing.

There is one intersting word called "dispersion". Enemy uses it when attack is inevitable.

Don't forget the battle of Kursk. Both sides prepared for three months. In the end, it was the Germans who made an offense that failed
The Russians have proven time, and again is they suck at fighting on the offense unless they have superior numbers and are willing to throw bodies at a problem
Where they excel is the defense, they have the time and distance for it
So, in the end, don't underestimate your opponent. Always be more prepared.

That's pretty crazy that they have had to deplete the entire storage depot to try and keep up. Also it's more mind-boggling is the fact that this kind of intelligence is available to the public.

I think based on how unhappy lots of Russian troops are it would not be insane to theorise that the US has plenty of spies willing to give very accurate information on movements of troops.

Yeah and Russia has that capability too its the first war where neither side can secretly mass troops because both sides have sophisticated satellite access.
