DIY GIANT PEGBOARD WALL

If this doesn't scream URBAN OUTFITTERS than I don't know what will. This has got to be my favorite DIY so far and it defiantly looks store bought. Plus this can be designed and organized to your own liking.

Dylan, this was a great job you did! I was searching for pegboard ideas and this solves my problem. I don't like conventional pegboards as the clips fall out all the time. I'm going to create my own with the dowels instead of expensive hardware such as brackets. Very good idea, thanks!

My kids love these giant light walls. We have played with the LiteZilla ones in a few places and they make the best ones from my experience.

To make the holes 90 degrees, use a drill guide. The JIG IT from Rockler works well, as does the big portable drill guide.

Love this! So tempted to do it myself but man is this an OCD nightmare waiting to happen. One small misalignment and I’ll be fixated on the mistake forever more. Can’t do this to myself. But great job!

So I bought a 1 inch drill bit and 1 inch dowels and the dowels are really loose in the holes. They don't fit snugly. My shelf tilts forward a bit and I'm afraid things will fall off the shelves. Any Suggestions?

Dylan, this is very useful project, and one you're going to appreciate the entire rest of your life. (And I bet it won't be your last pegboard). This might well be a source of income if you wanted to approach some stores where teens and/or parents go. Best of luck with this. : )
