New ProPublica reporting sheds light on two women in Georgia whose deaths experts blame on the state’s abortion ban passed after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. This what people mean by "abortion is health care," says Molly Jong-Fast.

Not performing a procedure until the woman is sick enough to be near death is worse than seeing someone suffer from the beginning stages of heart failure but not working on them until they have a heart attack. These deaths are preventable but the way the law is written we can’t save a woman until she’s close to death, by which time it’s very difficult to save her. Many more will die before it’s taken seriously

You missed a BIG opportunity here to highlight that Georgia's ban on D&Cs ALSO risks the life of women who have had natural abortions also known as MISCARRIAGES.

In addition, D&Cs are sometimes performed to try to mitigate heavy periods. I had 2 when I was very young. I have never been pregnant.

Reports of women dying need to be brought to media now.

I just want to point out that he did NOT ask if this was real. He very callously scoffed and said "Don't hold your breath."

Vote Blue for compassion and sanity.

This is exactly why the abortion issue should have been framed. Better to begin with. In the end most abortions aren't to end unwanted pregnancies. Most abortions are people who wanted children, but something has gone horribly wrong. Most abortions are from miscarriages and they help the mother get through it faster and not endanger her life or her future ability to have children.

These women should sue the state. This is ridiculous.

And their families should sue all the way to that same Supreme Court for doing this to these women and countless others 😢😢😢👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽😡😡😡

Why wouldn’t they believe women are dying? Deaths like these have been in the news since roe vs wade was overturned. Are they just willfully ignorant?

Absolutely terrible. I hope both families sue the state of Georgia! May both these women rest in peace
