It appears to me a lot of company's cannot run a bath let alone a company. Also relying on one OS is pure stupidity.

Long past time for gov & business to build backup systems hospitals, power plants and military should not be using private company electronics to control operations
This should become election issue globally to have redundant systems in place
Otherwise we will all be back to pencil & paper
Best of luck to all affected

Demonstrates the importance of resilient business continuity planning and the dangers of over reliance on digital systems without the analogue backup of critical systems.

The premitive solution is simple: Crowdstrike pulls out the latest update from their repository. Every affected computer needs to be manually reverted back to its previous update via safe mode. Microsoft can do postmortem which would result in spanking the Crowdstrike. Big deal is insurance claims.

This is a test run. They start small.

I know 3 people that couldn’t get cash from their own accounts today. Midwest usa area. They start small. They will do more here and there, then the whole system… GET CASH OUT NOW AND BUY HARD MATERIALS! (This is not financial advice).
