They should of had their license suspended! That's just dumb, selfish, and dangerous! People like that shouldn't be on the road!

I've seen lots of dashcam videos of drivers doing stupid stuff, but this one takes the #1 spot.

the fact that he did this on purpose with no regards for the firemen or the people that need that fire out, he got off good.

A fine? That's it?

The dude could have been completely responsible for the failure of that Fire control. Minimum penalty should be 90 days in prison and that's being fucking generous!

Oh, firetrucks? Lemme just run over this hose real quick, they won't notice...

They only paid $160 + damages, which still was less than $1000, that their insurance probably paid?? The driver should have a much bigger fine than that

The fine was not enough! what if it was the persons house on fire with their family trapped and someone did this and lives was lost? the idiot driver should lose their license for a year also

It never ceases to amaze me the ever increasing level of absolute stupidity of the general public. It’s getting worse and worse every year. Makes me wonder how they manage to get thru their daily life being so situationally unaware.

As a Veteran Firefighter, the action of this selfish individual could have been catastrophic and they should have been punished way harder than what was reported! Luckily no one was injured as a result, but a minimum of at least 1 year loss of DL and a $1, 000 fine + cost of the hose, should have been the punishment for this crime!

They should be put in jail for attempted murder!

Pull their license...glad they were caught. And pay.

that was pretty amazing that hose didn't rip open more under that presure, I guess that's a testament to the ripstop quality of the hose.

Anyone driving over a firefighter hose should face $100, 000 fine and 10 years in federal prison

I once parked 4 blocks from a fire to get video of it. There were no trucks near me, but about 20 minutes later my car (not near a hydrant) was blocked by a hose. I asked a fireman nearby if I could drive over it and when he said no, I waited 3 hours till they moved it. Why would someone drive over it when they could drive around it?! I got great video, including the house across the street that got embers blown into the open upstairs window. The last was trying to charge people to go upstairs to see the fire across the street when it happened. Firemen got to go up for free. LOL

only a $ 700 fine?, it should've been a $7, 000 fine with a 4 year driver suspension

Heard people are blocking ambulance's now too
wtf is wrong with people

thats why the FD asks for PD assistance in locking down the area, they are specifically asked to protect and guard extended hoses and block operational area roads.

I work in the oil industry and daily deal with equipment and tubing under insanely high pressures, and it scares the shit out of me when I see new hires going near stuff like that - despite the fact that they've been trained and no what not to do.

I would have a nervous breakdown watching normal civilians just walking (or driving!) around my equipment while they're operational.
