“Just make the beeping stop” 😂 Truer words never spoken.

I feel like "Respiratory Therapist" isn't a cool enough name to describe how awesome RT's are. Maybe "Airway Chief?"

I work on the respiratory ward in my hospital, so I know a lot of RTs and we care for chronically vented patients. This is so very true, especially the plea to "just make the beeping stop".

my mom works as an RT in multiple hospitals and the amount of facetime calls she gets from doctors and nurses begging for her to explain how to make the beeping stop when she's not there is crazy! im so proud of her, she's badass!

I feel like respiratory therapists are some of the unsung heros of the icu. Personally, I had no idea how important they were (as a layman) until my husband was in icu, on a ventilator, with multiple complications. They're so vitally important. And like all the staff there, we are so grateful for them 🙏

These videos just reaffirm my distrust in doctors lol

From a current over worked RT… this is so accurate! 😂 but I love my job so I continue to “make the beeping stop” lol

Gotta love medical facilities. "Your appointment is at 8:30, but we won't actually get you in for another hour."

Cant tell you how many times i’ve heard “make the beeping stop” and “why wasnt this neb given” AS i’m bouncing up and down on someone chest being the only RT at my facility. 😂

I work with so many wonderful RTs in the icu! As a nurse, when things go down, I KNOW those RTs are jumping in to assist not only the patient but me as well! They are often short staffed and pulled many directions too! If you take the time to listen though, you will learn so much interesting information from them!

"Which do you want me to do first?" Been there! I'm low on the totem pole and all alone in the world and how many places can I be at once? You have to choose! Lol!

Lol. My mom is an RT in the NICU and dreads working with regular ICU patients. She says that dealing with a crying baby is better than complaining patients and the nurses aren't as demanding either

The terror in the intern's voice is so relatable lol

Very relatable. Especially the way the fellow just told the intern to go and 'get the RT to come and do it'. He's probably going to be mad no matter what you tell the RT to do first. Something similar happened to me and I got told off for "telling them what to do."

I so appreciate nurses. I’ve never met one who has a proper lunch break, works insane hours, and still shows up with the feeling that you matter.

Right before the RT did it (in a much nicer way), I said “choose the order”. These videos are always entertaining & spot on. Since it took me WAY too long to realize that I could ask for task priorities at work, I GREATLY appreciate seeing that in these videos (& in addition to the laughs & entertainment that I get from them).
