How to Tap Screw and Bolt Threads

I needed to tap a hole with threads so I thought I would film and share how I did it. This might not be the proper way to do it but it works for me.

Ave has some cool videos of friction drilling which pushes the metal away which increases the amount of threads you can cut in to a otherwise thin tube.

Do you think I’d be fine without a tap wrench and the oil if I’m going to plastic? Need to fix a surfboard fin box screw hole

So, he's got a bolt he wants to use and the CORRESPONDING tap for that bolt is 8/32 and from the chart he should be using a 9/64 drill bit.
Questions:
1) What is the size of the bolt that corresponds to that 8/32 tap? He simply says I've got this bolt and this tap is the corresponding tap for it. How would one know the proper size tap for a given bolt?
2) If I'm not mistaken, there are different types of taps, some make course thread and some make finer threads. For all we know that bolt has fine threads and that tap make course threads. Ouch! Won't fit!
