Raj Kundra's Bail Plea Rejected

As per the latest updates on Raj Kundra’s case, the businessman’s bail plea got rejected by the court, for the third time. Raj Kundra got arrested by the Mumbai Crime branch for his link with obscene video case. Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra and his aide, Ryan Thrope’s bail plea already got rejected by the magistrate court. It is after the rejection of bail plea from magistrate court, Raj and Ryan applied to Bombay High Court and challenged their arrest. Raj Kundra’s lawyer moved to Bombay High Court with his bail plea and it got heard recently. On Saturday, 7th August, Bombay High Court heard the bail plea and they have dismissed their immediate release application. As per the recent reports, the chief justice has revealed that the remand to custody by the magistrate court is within the conformity of law. The chief justice has also added that the magistrate court’s order does not require any kind of interference. Raj Kundra claimed in his petition that he was sent the notice as a formality only and got arrested soon by the crime branch. Ryan Thorpe also claimed in his petition that in spite of co operating with officers and accepting notice, he got arrested. Raj Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe got arrested on 19th July and they are booked for funding and distributing obscene videos on mobile app. The duo has applied for immediate release for three times but every court has denied their plea. Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe, both are in judicial custody now and Mumbai crime branch has enough evidence against them. Mumbai Crime Branch is also looking into Shilpa Shetty’s phone to find if she has any connection with the case.
