19:20 - I feel this one. Almost 22 years ago, I took an unexpected sick day from work. In the prior month, my wife was in "baby making mode" but after months of daily "making" sessions, she got mentally worn out and asked for a "break", which I was more than happy to provide.

Well, I'm rarely sick and her seeing me infirmed turned her on and she took full advantage. I told her I wasn't in the mood but she said, "just lay back, I'll do ALL the work." She kept her word, but she also saw the grimaces of pain on my face. She got what she wanted and she left. That afternoon the pain increases and I went to the doctor. He sent me to the ER. The consulting surgeon within a minute of seeing me said it was appendicitis. I couldn't believe it because I didn't have "sharp stabbing pain in the lower-right abdomen". He did an MRI and it was confirmed.

That night, wife, my Mom and her friend were there for moral support and asking the surgeon questions. My Mom and her friend were taken aback by how many times my wife talked about returning to "baby making mode" and pouting over how long I would "be on the bench". Fortunately it wasn't an issue because that one time did it.

Fast forward to today, I still tell our 21 y.o. twins, who were born the day after my 30th b'day, about how their conception sent me to the ER! Everything worked out fine and I joke about it now, but a part of me is still sad at how selfish my wife was, putting her short-term desires over my health. It wasn't the last time something like that happened, but that's a story for another day.

Can you imagine a man, turned on by his wife being sick and in pain, and corcing her into "laying back while I handle it 100%"?! Society would eviscerate him, but I know that I would get ZERO sympathy.

Being pressured to be the ones asking girls out. I’m 27 and I’ve never had a girl to agree to go on a date with me but I’ve found out years after it happened that there have been girls who have had crushes on me. Apparently they would flirt with me and drop signs that were “obvious” but I couldn’t tell

I always tell the men I hang with "I'd rather you cry on my shoulder than having to go to your funeral" and if you want to talk we can either gather up and talk or have a 1 on 1 in a dark spot and cry together.


Men's mental health needs to be a bigger thing than it already is. We all go through some shit and we have our own battles in life but I know we can get over what's bothering us when we have that one mtrfker that actually cares and takes time out of his day to listen, our day can get a little better.

I just wanna get this off my chest, it's been said before but as a 40yr old single father of 4 nobody cares about us only single mothers like we don't matter or have feelings, I have a 16yr old son who has just went into remission from leukemia and nobody has asked how am I taking it, or am I being selfish?

Being told to be more emotionally vulnerable but then respected less if we actually do just that.

One day, this giant pot of loneliness, depression and desperation will boil over. That day will go down in history as the most violent day of mankind yet and i believe i will see that day in my lifetime, rather sooner than later. I fear that day. You can’t just ignore young men of military age with LITERALLY nothing to lose and expect everything to be fine in the long term. Western society will crash and crash hard. Political figures that give these men a purpose will start to appear and use them to overthrow the current society. It is only a matter of time.

Remember, brothers, there's always someone who cares. Text a buddy, even one you haven't seen in forever, or maybe a coworker you barely know, anyone. Ask if they'd like to go have a beer or meet up for coffee or something and just have a real, open, heavy conversation. Pro tip: fire at night helps. You don't even have to go as far as plan a whole camping trip, just sit outside with a couple of candles or a fire pit or something. Something about the soft, dancing light surrounded by night really helps bring raw emotions out in a peaceful and mindful way.

My Dad was born in the 1940s. I was taught you only get 1 emotion. Anger, that's it. Happiness isn't a thing and be content with basic life. Just grind life out. Didn't tell me he was proud until 3 weeks from death. Just a hard Dad, we all have them.

Thank you for posting this, I feel bad for men in this generation, like really, people need to WAKE TF UP and be real for .5 seconds, we need more people with a decent following to speak up more, it’s getting way too out of hand and it’s been like that for a very long time, we need to end toxic feminism and women that disagree need to start speaking up now
