#1 Pay yourself 1st (1% or more) in a separate savings account
#2 Fill your tank up with gas
#3 Buy groceries vs eating out
#4 Take out a set amount of entertainment cash, put it in an envelope and don't exceed what's in there
#5 Start paying off debt after you've saved at least $1, 000 in emergency funds

Your smart. I was poor my entire life and my mother abandoned us when I was 15. I worked hard, saved, and was frugal. I am now retired, debt free, and enjoying life with my spouse. Anyone can do this if they can control their impulses to buy buy buy!

Only 4 cents for the coffee

Somebody tell Graham Stephan, he’s wasting 16 cents every time he has coffee!

I wonder how much I've saved in my life from not liking coffee.
I honestly like water. I have an expensive water filtre. Water is my favourite. Hydration is amazing

It's sad the world we live in. I get laughed at for saving my money and not exhausting it all the moment I get it

I threw my spare change ( daily ) in a large coffee container, and when I cashed out it was $ 350. Nice😁

I love that book I started to save my money as soon as I read that book!! And in the first year I had saved close to $10k and even though the book was written in the 1930s or 1940s that's the most practical book on financial advice!!

I find I spend less when I have cash in my wallet than when I have my debit card, I hate breaking large bills on small purchases

It’s amazing how the advice from The Richest Man In Babylon still holds up to this day. I always recommend that book to people, who are struggling

I really enjoyed the breakdown on the cost of groceries for the same thing you can pick up in a drive-thru. It really puts things into perspective.
