Repairclinic is an awesome place for parts. Used to live near one of their warehouses and, man, it was awesome to break something, do the required swearing, watch YouTube to figure out what the hell I broke and what the hell I need, and then go pick up the part the same day.

We got ours used, almost perfect condition, so we thought it was normal. That was until it broke completely half a year later and we had to call a technician who not only fixed it in about 5 minutes, but also was kind enough to teach me how to replace it in case it ever broke again. The repair was $95, but knowledge and experience sure are priceless, which aside from the repair, it's what we gladly paid for.

I just had to fix my washer AND dryer after a power surge. They are incredibly simple to diagnose and fix with help from YT. Rebuilt control panels off eBay = $200 repair for both instead of $1200 -$1500 to replace.

Did this to my Kenmore a few years ago; very easy and only takes 10 min. Also, a genuine switch from an appliance store nearby was only $30.

My first dryer that i took apart was one of these. Fun. Easy. Learnt. A few years later, a gf had a busted dryer and my gf volunteered me to fix it... it was some bogus non easy dryer that had 905 pieces to hold together as you screw it together 💀 it took me too long
