Hi everyone! I worked at Best Buy from May 2016 to November 2016. I left because I got promoted at GNC and could not coordinate working full time at GNC, having night classes 4 nights a week and working a job that wanted more hours for the seasonal time of year. I’m about to start working next week and I’m super nervous. They have a new system (bc of COVID) where EVERY sales consultant walks around the whole store. So the training consists of learning every section of the store. But it does come with a starting pay of $15 an hour

i left target after 8 months with a pay of $12.50 and I joined Best Buy, but i'm making only $11 as of right now. Doesn't really matter because it's a good fit for me so I don't really care about the pay

16.50 an hour for Loss Prevention. Granted I have a B/A in criminal justice and graduated a post certification academy. With 3 years retail experience.

Worked at Best Buy for a couple of years back in 2012-2013. Cool job. Has it's ups and downs considering you do have to deal with customers which some are good and some are pure evil. And of course Black Friday.

As she said, usually heavy discounts for accessories, but don't expect a lot on big items (standard TVs, Computers, cameras, etc.). HOWEVER, as a Best Buy employee, many manufacturers will give you discounts directly. For instance, Sony will give you a rebate on their TVs which aren't available for non employees. I got a HUGE discount on a high end TV. You just gotta get some paperwork filled out and submitted to Sony. Intel is similar; they have programs with retailers where you can get cheap Intel CPUs or even computers. At the time I got Intel's 2700k CPU for half off (saved $200).

So pretty much it's not just Best Buy discounts, but access to manufacturer discounts offered to retail employees. And there are a lot of manufacturers that offer direct discounts. They want sales people to have the items so they can use and recommend. It's essentially marketing.

High ticket items, like stuff in Magnolia, usually do have a lot of profit built in, so there's a lot of discount that can be had there. I bought some B&W floor standing speakers for close to 50% off the retail price.

Ive applied to Best Buy 5 times now i got denied immediately 3 times just from the survey online and one of them has been in HR for 3 weeks now and i just put in another application. I know I qualify to work at Best Buy im very knowledgeable in technology and applied to geek squad and i have 2 years of working with consumer technology.

I’m a 12 year old kid and I was planning to get a Toyota 2020 Camry. And since I will get a hand me down car. I can drive to work. But don’t know what job to get. Best Buy came up because of a YouTuber, Plainrock124. So I decided to choose to be a customer service or a cashier and this video helped me to see if Best Buy was perfect or not because of these perks
