Nursemaid's Elbow Emergency

In this video we demonstrate two ways to reduce a nursemaid's elbow subluxation on a toddler.

Do NOT try this procedure if your child had a fall or any sort of trauma to the arm! It could worsen the injury if the arm has been fractured.

Im a disabled dad and cant drive. My boys arm was acting up and he couldnt use it at 2am, so uber wasnt going.

As you can imagine, we were in a bind. This video was so well explained and shown that i felt confident in trying it myself.

Second one worked a treat and my boys smile when it popped in is not something I'll forget for a while.

Took the boy into urgent care and waited 4 hours for three separate overworked doctors to not be able to fix his arm. Watched this video and did the second method and it popped back. I am so relieved. He is using arm again. Thank you!

I watched the video a few times before taking the courage to it on my 19 month old. She was in pain and didn't move her right arm. I had to grab her elbow 2 o 3 times to gear the click. And then she started moving her arm and I bathed her. Thanks for sharing .

My son had this twice while he as a baby. Dr had us hold his elbow in my palm, turn his hand around, palm open and push back towards his body. Something to that effect. Been 18 years now but it worked both times. He was in so much pain you couldn't even touch his arm.

This definitely works! It’s currently 3:30am and I had to relieve my 3 year old of this. She had it before at 18 months when she was trying to run towards the street. The doctors told us it could easily happen again and it did in the middle of the night. She and her brother crawled into bed and were taking over our bed. I went to shift her and couldn’t find her arm. So in a panic I reach for her arm with a slight pull and heard the pop followed by her cries. She’s all better with range of motion watching Encanto!
