How to use the '/fill Replace' command in Minecraft - Java Edition

/fill ~ ~ ~(first corner coords) ~ ~ ~ (second corner coords) ___(block you want to change to) replace ____(block that is already there)

/fill ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ dirt(example) replace stone (example)

Hey, for some reason, smooth quartz won't work with commands. I've been entering "smooth_quartz_block" am I entering it in wrong?
