Tag is ingenious . I've often thought of using duck flank feathers in a similar way. I must now do so. :-)

gajuma56,
I know it as the AK Best Pattern under the Spent Caddis name. From what I know is that Mike And Sheralee Lawson's Spent Caddis Adult looks similar, but there are some differences. Their pattern uses a brown partridge feather, the wing does not hug the body and there is peacock herl under the hackle.
The pattern in the video is pretty faithful to the AK Best pattern, hence I attribute it to him.
Cheers,
Hans W

Hi Hans: Isn' this a pattern from Mike and Sheralee Lawson...the Spent Caddis Adult? I tie this for the early Brachycentrus hatch with a dark abdomen, brown partridge for the spent wing and grizzly dyed dark olive for the thorax. Works well when the fish are on the spents.
