I never died, but God did talk to me once when I was younger. I was in a lot of pain and was seething with anger one night while my family slept. I was raging in my mind, yelling at god, calling them a dictorial pig, shaming them for creating pain and suffering, to hold us under his thumb like a sadistic tyrant was unforgivable and so on. The best way I can describe what happened next goes like this: my anger was all encompassing in the room, but in an instant it felt like an invisible wave of calm filled the space, immediately extinguishing any anger or sadness that was there. That's when a voice came to me and said this, "I created pain so that you might grow." And then they chuckled and said, "I am nothing like you think I am." The voice left, but the feeling satyed. I was 15 when that happened, but i can still hear the voice today. It was so kind.

Anyway, that was my experience with God. Not the only one, but an incredibly signifigant moment in my life.

I think it’s fascinating how I hear about this tree of life a lot. I learned that the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the beginning of the biblical text is referring to incarnation. When we incarnate, we choose to take on these concepts of good and evil, and these polarities, and we’re not allowed to live forever in doing so, and so we leave what’s called the garden of Eden, which is spiritual bliss, and we incarnate to eat of this tree, and so that’s what I have come to understand. So truly fascinating.

Having had an NDE I really relate to alot of this, especially the part about people not wanting to know. I assumed it would be THE thing people were curious about, but instead I noticed people often dissociated and or showed zero curiosity if I mentioned it. Or they'll say 'oh I had a near death experience' and describe a situation where they could have died, but didn't actually have an NDE. When I found someone else who had been through it, it was such a relief to feel heard and seen.
