I had a shop tell me it was the struts and quoted me $640 on my 05 forester. I found decent ones for $100 a peice. A good bit of pb blaster, a propane torch, an impact gun, and a craftsmen breaker bar ratchet later, didn't fix the issue. I'm so glad I found this video, if only I had found it 2 weeks ago, lol. Thank you! Great video, very informative and nailed it.

I don’t have a garage or driveway or the tools but I got my sway bar bushings and end links down on all four wheels and it really helped small little peace of rubber fixed the noise. Cost me 200 for parts they installed quality brand and labor 100 dollars for one hour 300 total roughly but you could save a good hundred dollars doing it yourself

I been chasing this noise for 3 weeks now and looked past my end link!!! I’ve moved shocks L and R which didn’t change anything. Saw this video and dammit... the bushing on the end link is dam near gone. Thanks!!!!

Thank you for this video, was having a bit of a hard time identifying the damaged part as I recently had the front struts changed on my 2013 Prius C and the mechanic forgot to verify the loose sway bar link, so the link was probably damaged during the test run and after they reassembled it.

Firstly.. great video!! This is exactly the noise I've had for the last month and left one particular garage £400 down with still the same noise. Took it to another garage today and they found the issue straight away. Play in the offside sway bar link. But the noise sounded like it was coming from the driver side so that's why the first garage concentrated on replacing all my suspension on driver side 😠 they didn't put it on a ramp just jumped straight to yep it's your top strut mounts.. it wasn't after all. So much stress and money for something that was cheap to fix 😣
