Unified 'Continue Watching,' Bluetooth Private Listening, and more | Roku OS 11.5 Preview

Roku released details today about Roku OS 11.5, the update that should (fingers crossed!) improve the user experience on the home page, in the "what to watch" tab, and with private listening as well. They also announced two additions to their product lineup. Craig previews it all here.

Adding a fix for the constant hdcp errors would be nice. Roku blames my tv but the Roku device is the only one that does that. My Apple TV and fire cube don’t have this issue.

What I really want is a way for Roku to track my shows, including new episodes. I hate forgetting which channel or service my show is on and I have to go looking for it.

private listening: a godsend for parents who just got their kids to bed in a small home. man, I wish I had that for the past 2.5 years....

I wish I could change where Roku boots up to. I probably only use the left side features once out of 10 times. Just start with my curser already on my channels. If I want something on the left, I'll go do it.

I’m running 11.5 on my Ultra now and do not see Continue Watching under What To Watch, even though I have Netflix, HBOMAX, Paramount+ and of course The Roku Channel. Any update when this feature will be rolled out?

I'm glad you're back cuz last Friday I was hooked to my phone I was trying to find you and you never showed up on the last Friday hopefully you do on this Friday. But I got a letter in the mail maybe you can put it on your streaming device Network Amazon is stop selling like really and Grace SpongeBob and Lord of the rings and other several movies like that because I'm in my little saying that you can watch those on Amazon channel and it's also saying that you can watch football on on Amazon too which I don't really care for football so yeah so those type of TV shows movies that you can't watch it you can't buy them anymore on Amazon which that's kind of stupid if you ask me but they're not selling them anymore so that's that but and the football is like I think it was seven a month plus the movies you get on Amazon too so it's like okay I'm not interested in football

On your recommendation I downloaded the Roku app. I would like to open the app and see the same screen as if I turned on my TV. Is there a setting for that?

Well yesterday I had to bury my old 40 inch flat screen (un-smart). But I replaced it with a 50 inch Roku TV. It's amazing, especially how it improved the sound of my soundbar surround sound, not to mention it recognized all the devices I have on it including the OTA antenna. It's so easy to operate with the remote app on my cell phone or with my fire stick TV remote. It's a bummer that it didn't update to 11.5 OS. I'm sure they'll get around to it.

The only thing i dont like about roku is the bluetooth phone stuff, I mean the controller jack i good an all but we live in the times of wireless connectivity. Another thing is why roku partners with tcl tvs if it can't have both tcl and roku products work at the same time

I have an roku ultra, which keeps staying on the bouncing logo, and won’t go past it. No one ( both roku and users have an answer to fix it). I’ve tried EVERYTHING possible within the suggestions, would you, or anybody have any clues as to what I can do?

I’m confused. I’ve had a save list on my Roku for awhile. Am my misunderstanding something?

The Bluetooth feature is also on Fire TV as well.
