ASUS: Here's a $500 keyboard, it's really nice.
Chinese keyboard brands: Here's an aluminum case keyboard for $27, and it's nicer than the ASUS one.

The reason most gamer keyboards use north-facing-LEDs is, because you are really hard-pressed to find shine-through Keycaps for south-facing LEDs.
Saw many topics where ppl are searching ones for their Keychron Q1 which has south facing LEDs.

Asus AC is truly the worst software, period. We still have an original Azoth we love, put Morandi in it over a year ago and one of my son keeps using it over all the customs I have on display that I'm not using. Bottom line is that if I want to put decent caps, GMK Honor Dark would look good, on my $500 keyboard I have to also replace the switches... might as well have ordered a Freya or I could get a maxed out Sonnet. I would buy this for $350 because we like the original so much and because I'm a goob and spend too much money on keyboards... but not $500. Great review as always! You are the first I have seen actually test the cherry caps on the snow switches and for me that is HUGE.

$500 is outrageous for a non HE keyboard. You can buy a top of the line custom wooting 80he for $200 less which smokes this keyboard in every way

I was watching this wondering about the software because Ive been having issues with Razer Synapse and head desked as soon as you said the Asus software basically isnt any better. Love the attention to detail and the honesty!
