Vance is untethered from reality. It's easy to debate when you just tell any lie. Any ridiculous lie that pops into your "head"

All right, JD, let's focus on the future. A VP has only three jobs. Preside over the Senate and break ties. Become president if needed. Oversee the counting of electoral college ballots. In this future which you are so keenly focused on, can you promise that you will do all three of those things which, again, I can't say this enough, are literally the only three things the Constitution requires a Vice President to do?

When one candidate lies relentlessly, do you really think he won? Do you really, really think the debate between the men who might be President - with one of them, the relentless liar, having considerably more possibilities given his running mate's age and decline - is *irrelevant?*
Maybe the writers need to think harder? It's the destiny of the country what's at stake. This is not the pilot of a new streaming series.
