BioLayne Product Review - Adidas Adipower Lifting Shoes

This is the first video in what will be my new video series: BioLayne Product Reviews. I hope you guys enjoy them and they are helpful for you. First up, the Adipower Lifting Shoe. Possibly the best investment I've ever made in terms of lifting equipment. Very comfortable, stable, and immediately improved my squat and reduced injuries. Highly, highly, highly recommend. Only downside is price at ~$200. Still 9.5/10

I have the Nike Romaleos. I have an issue with a very short Achilles tendon and decreased ankle mobility that precludes me from proper form on squats and deadlifts.

I had these shoes recommended to me by a powerlifting coach at a Crossfit box, and they made a HUGE difference, as Layne says. My Nike's cost me a shade over $200, but I can now lift without risk of injury.

I've had these for almost 2 years I think and I love them. The main purpose I have for them is the elevated heel.

Haven't used mine in about two months because I thought they were making me fall forward and do good mornings instead of squats so I wore flat shoes. Tried them on today, no belt or knee sleeves which I always use every other time. Made a 3x3 on a weight I did 3x4 the week before and all felt good. Probably going back to them now and making sure technique stays good. Great review Layne, forgot what it was like to squat in them.

Thanks for the review! I can attest to these great shoes too. I also use them for benching because the raised heel gives me better leg drive. Also experimenting with deadlifting in these shoes too and so far I haven't noticed any reduction in weight that I was using on my deadlift shoes. However, the mechanics of the lift are a bit altered, but not too much that it will throw you out of position. I normally wear a size 9 on regular shoes (bit a bit of toe room) but I sized them down to 8 for a really snug fit.

These shoes are great. I've been squatting with them for 3-4 months now and i'm repping 15kg more than i ever have. Stability is excellent, you really feel super glued to the floor when doing squats. They will fit rquite snug at first but will loosen up after a few sessions.
