Today we'll be taking a look at the Adidas Adipowers, which are a very popular olympic weight lifting shoe. To get the best idea on these shoes, I'll also be referencing a comparable lower model, the Adidas PowerLift Trainers.

Conclusion to adi power review:
"okay so to tie things up..."
Conclusion to gangster wrap review:
"okay so to wrap things up..."

I see what you did there.

Would this shoe help with pelvic tilt issues? I recently got Converses and they've been great for better stability but I wonder if the heel is extra help. Thanks!

Great review. I have been thinking about getting a pair of these, but I think I'll wait a little while until my numbers have improved.

for people saying if they are worth it for the price. the shoes are 200 dollars US you can find them for cheaper im sure. but the benefit they can give you in the squatting movements (front squat, back squat) is something you wont get with any other work out shoe (running shoes, converse, etc.) they help you get lower in your squat, and give you a stability that most shoes will not give. personally when i first used the shoe for my squat session my 5 rep sets when up by 20 pounds.

Yeah i squat fairly wide. Not like power lifting wide. Few inches outside shoudler width id say

I actually prefer the PowerLift trainers in terms of design. In terms of functionality, I think Adipowers would be more useful.
Great review, can't wait to get one of these.

do they feel weird to walk around in because of the raised heel or do they feel like normal shoes

Going to buy these when meh chucks are dead! Like shoes when its 6 plus reps but prefer barefoot for max's. Never had a "push thru heal" problem though. Could see how they would help others though.

What is the use of the high heel? Shouldn't you squat on a flat platform to maximize explosiveness and power? Thanks in advance

Just bought a pair for $120, price was so low that I had to buy them. Can't wait to test them out when they come in thanks!

I've been reading around and some people are saying to get a half a size smaller than what you really are. for example I'm a size 10, they are suggesting to get a size 9.5

I have wide feet and usually wear size 11.. should I buy a size 12 since they're more narrow? Or should I go with the Nike Romaleos? I have the Adidas Powerlift 2.0 now and wear 12 in those

I got the Powerlifts for Xmas but ended up returning them  I think they run about 1/2 size small or I just needed to break them in.  I was considering giving these a try.  For bodybuilding purposes...deadlift, squats, walking most importantly can I do calves with these?  Also if I do will the shoe start to pull apart from the toe if I toe maybe I should just look for a good general trainer

IDK if anyone else commented on this, but how do both shoes fit: true to size? a little snug? a little loose?
