In this video, I'm sharing how we made our kids a DIY built-in bunk bed. This adorable bunk bed makes bedtime truly magical (pretty sure I'm living vicariously through my kiddos). As always, the step-by-step project plans are available on my website, along with more photos and details.

As a 14yr old crafter/artist I took your plan and tweaked it to make a floating bed with a modern feel to it! I used the bottom empty area to add my vanity+work desk abomination that I’ve designed! I am so grateful for your video because since I have an okay sized room(I’m getting a seperate “secret” room built in so I had to go with a smaller room) this helped me use the vertical space! My parents are building a new house and I’ve taken the responsibility of designing and making my room as I like such projects! If all my calculations are correct and my model is accurate to my future bedroom then I am SO happy because it looks cool! So I wanted to share this to anyone reading this who is interested in customising their room, DO IT! I know it’s gonna get frustrating and you probably will spend hours crying while continuously erasing and adding more things to your plan re measuring and stuff. It’s going to be hard work but just don’t give in and be creative! Take inspiration and tweak things to fit your taste! It’s so worth it! And thank you Jen for helping me design my epic room! I would tweak this to allow for drawers on the bottom for all of that available space under the bottom bed.
