Hating Polygamy is Being ANTI-Marriage!

Despite polygyny being an honorable form of marriage, many disagree with it; saying that it contributes to dysfunctional households, it's only beneficial to the husband, all of the like. And some, oddly enough, prefer for a husband or wife to commit adultery rather than get involved with polygyny. But they aren't anti-monogamy. In this video, Coaches Nyla, Nazir, and Fatimah deep dive into how being "anti-polygyny" makes one, by default, "anti-marriage".

ABOUT US:
We are Coach Nazir, Coach Fatimah, & Coach Nyla. We are considered Black Americans and we were all raised as Christians. We have a keen understanding of the many facets of American culture and the ongoing challenges present within it.

Each of us accepted Islam as young adults and are practicing Muslims who follow the final revelation, The Quran, and the example of the Last & Final Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad ibn Abdullah (sws).

Coach Nazir & Fatimah were married for 15 years and had 6 children when he chose to practice polygyny. He married Coach Nyla, and our polygynous journey began.

Since then, 4 more children have been born, 1 by Coach Fatimah and 3 with Coach Nyla who has added 2 bonus children (step-children) to the family making a total of 12 children.

We had very little support and even slimmer resources when we began our journey, so things were done by trial and error and there were lots of errors! However, after being proactive in our growth and commitment for the success of the family, we figured it out and decided to be a resource for others who may be experiencing similar difficulties.

Once we got it right and reverse-engineered the method, we wanted to take away any excuses from those who say they didn't have a way to learn how to practice it correctly.

We share a lot about polygyny and its dynamics because our teachers and spiritual leaders have failed us in this area. Being that polygyny doesn't get its fair share of airtime, but people are still practicing it without practical education, we decided to help.

I agree wholeheartedly about having the conversation. Women should absolutely be honest with themselves and future husband about them not being a party to a polygynous marriage. If you tell people right up front what you will and won't do it eliminates the need for any painful conversation down the road. Some women are just too afraid to be firm on that in the beginning and not being firm only leads to heartache.

Cheating is not the American way. Woman don't say don't bring it home. We in American don't accept cheating. The problem is many American woman trust there husbands not to cheat in monogamy. Men have a hard time being faithful.

Pro marriage champ! Facts. I’m glad I have been researching this for MONTHS. The funny thing is modern culture has been against this form of marriage BUT they will SUPPORT serial monogamy. That’s sad.

#Promarriage and #promorals....Blessings to you all, as a revert, I wish that I had seen more HEALTHY polygynous relationships so that I wouldn't have had an emotional barrier to it when I first reverted, but through understanding Quaran, watching your videos and my own personal work I don't feel it's wrong anymore. It's not my personal preference but I respect it and wouldn't automatically disown my husband if he decided to practice polygny, I'd at least TRY. Blessings to your family. 🤲🏿
