Love this knife. it’s usually my secondary knife in case someone asks if I have one (and if I don’t want to scare people with the 4Max lol)

No one who actually uses his knives looks down on well done AUS 8 ;-)

Thanks man this review has made up my mind already in love with this and I haven't even ordered it yet would you recommend the bigger one for the extra £1 or should I just go for two minis one for each hand 😂

I own several Cold Steel knives with AUS 8. The Voyager and Tuff Lite are great workhorses that are easy the sharpen and more practical to use than some of my S30V knives. The heat treatment makes a lesser steel more effective.

Like mine! Primarily carried in the fifth pocket and yet for the size feels great in hand.

I've had one in my pocket for years, It's actually probably my most used knife ever. They discontinued it once I bought 3 more in case I ever lost it or broke it. I'm still on the first one

It fits nicely in a watch pocket in your jeans, in which case the clip works well.
A stands for Annealed, which just means the steel is annealed before they start processing it.
Of course, since it's machined, then hardened, then tempered, the initial annealing doesn't really matter, but it is what it is.

I love aus8 properly heat treated they hold a decent edge .tensile strength ..is better than many high end steel..no chip or snapping the blade..no rust ...

Didn't know it came in blue. I kinda like that!👍

This would have been a perfect work knife for me back in the day, I shudder at the thought of how I abused lesser blades.

When it comes to cold steel’s steel I don’t question it’s toughness. It could be 440 and it would be done rite. They just do what needs to be done to maximize the steels toughness potential. This is just my opinion but I appreciate you showing that it can be a non super steel and steel act like it when it’s done rite. Thanks brotha.

I let Cold Steel know I would like a Tuff LIte in premium materials.

Love me some aus8! The mini is a great smaller version of the regular tuff lite, and pretty beefy for how small it is

I have no problem with aus 8 back in the 1990s aus 8 what's one of the premium steels .. and while more advanced steel has been invented and used premium knives..aus 8 is still a decent steel.. especially for the money.. I like it a lot better than the Chinese steel in my experience more rust resistant

These are tough knives I should’ve bought them for myself and my girls for stocking stuffers. Guess I can get them for their bdays 😁

Cold Steel rarely disappoints: they have processed this AUS-8A extremely well (it is tough and sharp), their locking tech is robust, the wharncliff blade is quite useful and all this in a small, affordable size.

Get the PLAIN edge ..I love serrated but Tuff lite serrated tends to drag a bit when cutting some materials. Plain edge is great
