I picked up on this deal. Not really 1/4 sawn, but super straight and clear of defects. Heck of a deal at $10/piece.

I have some over 100yo QLD maple I've been carrying around for years. It's the left over lumber from the first parliament house in Canberra. I bought it off the old chippy that built the wall panels etc. I think mostly radial sawn. I've got 1 x 10"x3"x9' 1 x 12"x3"x16' 1 x 11"x2"x9' 1 x 12"x2"x16' The 3" stuff would end up quarter sawn if cut up like this mahogany. It's full of colour too. Would rather see it go into Guitars / Violins than someones feature in a private house.
