you are the man. it's so hard to find information on ue5 so often, especially such new features like MS. your channel deserves more views and i wish you that your channel explodes once more people learn ue5 and start exploring things like metasound

Its far better to add an audio component to the class component hierarchy as the Add Audio Component node literally tells you not to call it manually. Then use a validated get of the audio component you added as that is also about 10-15% more performant than IsValid, followed by pulling off said Audio Component Validated Get to PlaySoundAtLocation, followed by whatever Parameter changes you wish to make.

this system sucks for ui sounds; can't add an audio component to widgets or bp library so I need a level actor which has to be set with the sound before it can be played and can only be modified after it plays; triggering on tick resets the play event which resets the set event which makes it not play at all because it's resetting a new asset on tick, it's so dumb that we can't just pass the variables directly into the metasound asset like we do for any other function or bp asset; "the metasound asset is not a bp" really hit them on their own foot

Hi, Do you know how to send messages from Metasounds source file to blueprint, ? now I just find "on finished output" to be binded in blueprint, but I don't know how to send messages if the sample is played or looped, I tried to use "bind event to on audio state changed" in blueprint, but the engine crashed.
