Sound functions would be a more accurate way to describe them, since, like blueprint or material functions, they're reusable and have their parameters exposed.

Solid info! Knobs in graph is a game changer. So much easier editing MS patches like this. Feels like knobs are smoother to use than sliders when you have 100+ or so controls out (could be my potato pc) :D

this kinda reminds of how Niagara works. On one hand you have the Niagara emiter (Metasound) and on the other the Niagara System (Metasound Source).

Could you please do a breakdown for MetaSound Source for UE5 Lyra build. It's quite extensive and it would be nice to have someone like yourself break it down for customization. Thanks in advance and sub earned.

I'm having problems with a MetaSound. Basically I have a looping car engine sound, and I wand to spawn attached. but no audio plays if I use attenuation settings on it. If I switch to an audio cue, then the sound plays fine with the attenuation.
I have no problem using attenuation in non-moving metasounds, but I can get this one to work when spawned attached to an object... any suggestions?

Hi is anyone able to help me??? When I go into sounds I only have the option to add MetaSounds and I can't find MetaSound Source anywhere. Is there something I'm missing????

All I am seeing is just MetaSound, no MetaSound Source. These tutorials at my school are so hard to follow, because things change so often lol! 🤣 Edit: I just missed it lol.
