8 is so underrated. I love that each board has a slightly different goal but still keeps the classic Mario Party mechanics

I would like to say Mario party 8 had some very cool special modes, the ghost mansion level is extremely fun along with koopas tycoon, and the games are some classics; shake it up, the tower climb, cut the strings, clean chain chomp and some other great games. Mario party 8 did not deserve such a bad spot on the list.

I really loved Mario Party 9 when I was a kid. I have so many fun memories of that game. However now that I’m grown up I see all the many flaws in that game. However I still like it because of how much it made me happy as a kid.

Man I grew up playing SO MUCH Mario party 8. So many fun memories. Though I’d say Mario party DS was still my preferred of the two during that era

One positive I will say for Mario Party 9 is that I enjoyed the story mode. I thought it was a well-structured framing device and the boss battles they added to the regular Mario Party gameplay was able to keep it exciting. I will admit I'm a little biased since I did grow up with 9 (along with 8 and DS) and I haven't played it in a while to see if it holds up, but I remember having a lot of fun with it. Though I also remember being super impressed with the graphics which I know for a fact wouldn't be the same a decade later

I grew up with 7 and I love it so much, yet I don’t see many talking about it! But the music always made me feel so happy!
