Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has quizzed Rishi Sunak over fiscal responsibility at Prime Minister's Questions, asking how his actions were going for working people - as real wages fell by £1,600 a year per household.

Mr Starmer said the government was running a "low growth, high tax economy", and accused the PM of living "in his own bubble" of wealth and privilege.

It should be illegal for a prime minister to not answer the question at Prime Minister's Questions.

I wish I lived in the version of The Uk the Rishi talks about instead of The Uk that Rishi is actually “leading”.

They should just rename it Prime Ministers question dodging.
Politicians answering questions they have asked themselves in their own head instead of the one put to them is very frustrating.

Whoever thought that a man, with no knowledge of working class life, let alone any working class friends, should run a whole country 😂😂😂😂

Would Starmer really be any better? One gets the impression that his solution would be higher government spending, more in work benefits etc which would just drive the inflation

How are they getting away with jail time?

It's boring seeing all this talk and no action. Its like when you had arguments in primary school and the speaker is the teacher

I’m a working person and I’m not being supported at all. As a single woman working full time, I get no help from anywhere and I’m scraping through. Yet my colleague who works part time takes home more than I do because of her top up benefits and now she is getting the £900 cost of living payment. Makes me sick how people choose not to work or work the minimum then claim benefits on top, this government needs to make people get in full time work

Who does he think is protesting and picketing if not working people .And for them to try and blame a party that has been out of power for a decade and a half is low

Does Rishi Sunak not think then the striker’s are ordinary working people taking desperate action in order to attempt to be treated fairly as they struggle to make ends meet whilst he is so stinking rich he has too much money to see him through his lifetime?

It's embarrassing listening to a man whose net worth is variously estimated at £730 million say that giving single mothers working full time on the minimum wage around £100 per month more is 'delivering' ...

Starmer still sounds like ZIPPY from Rainbow

It's always amazing that Sunak praises the efforts of the government to raise the national income by 6% but the national average outgoings have increased by over 20%. That means we're about 15% worse off.. That's not good.

Sunak with the great Tory con every week. Talks about what they have given but not what they have taken which is much more. So everyone is worse off.

People arent stupid, I'm on the threshold of upper middle class/ rich and my living standard has decreased.

Can only imagine what the working class and the people living in poverty are going through. Will be a big defeat for the Tories in the next general election.

Labour arent the answer though. My vote will be going to the lib dems. I rather have a fair society or attempt to.
