Mountain Bikers vs Gravel Bikers

For my latest video I partnered up with Amanda and David from the Mammoth Tuff Gravel Race. We wanted to show some of the differences between Mountain Bikers and Gravel Bikers. At the end of the day we all just love having a great day on the bike...just as long as our tires aren't TOO fat. 😂

Can't be a fat tire biker 😂 Glad they could agree

Bike industry went full circle when they introduced gravel bikes

Been riding all my life but started riding a fat bike a year+ ago and I'm doing things and taking big jumps that i never seriously considered before. Indestructible. Makes everything not "sketchy". Not having to worry about rims is the best. Im by the coastal plains. Lots of low lands bayous that floods. No problem. And God it makes you strong !!

Currently building a hybrid between gravel and mtb. The handlebars are just flipped cruiser bars and they're surprisingly comfortable and functional

800mm bar isegit stulid though, I'm 6'5" 230lbs wide build with broad shoulders and i use a 780 if i remember correctly.
And that thing gets uncomfortable after a while because its still more than shoulder width.
If u think u need a wider bar, what you really need is stronger arms and shoulders and most importantly more time on the bike

Gravel looks like the pickleball of riding. I'm 71. Maybe when I turn 75!

Love hitting the MTB trails, but also really enjoy riding I guess what you would call gravel. I was using my full sus MTB for both and just recently decided to get another bike for longer "gravel" rides. I went with a hybrid though as drop bars are a big no for me. And I'll stick with the MTB shorts as well lol. Now if I can just ride the new bike since Fedex can't seem to get it here on time.

I've got an old hybrid diamondback, basically a dad's city bike.

I've been thinking bikes like that would be good for a truly capable hybrid build.

Shame they don’t make many 3.0 wide tyres these days

I have a XC MTB and a Gravel bike and i think that is the best of both, i dont like pure road biking so no road bike, and i dont like hard trails S3+ so with the Hardtail i can manage most easier Trails just fine.
Maybe i add a fully in the future, lets see :)

Rode a trail bike for years and recently bought a fat bike. Won't go back to skinnier bikes anytime soon.

I went to a bike shop the other day, and I saw a bike with tires thicker than my fist
