Hey y'all! saw a bunch of repeating questions so I'll just answer them here^^

Scott wrapping their heartstrings around his arm for some reason hurts. Also, their parts match so well; Scott wants to leave, because in the first DL episode, he believed he was abandoned by his soulmate. That was the farthest from the truth, because Pearl wanted to find him and make him “stay”.

Scott twisting the string around his wrist to make it look as though he's strapped is just *chefs kiss* it really emphasis how much Scott made it look like he was being held against his will, like it was pearls fault she is his soulmate when really niether of them had any say in this.

Edit 1: I just saw the begging and end parallels my god. And look how Pearls wrist actually get tangled while Scott's was more purposeful 😩😩

the dull stare scott has when hes demonstrating how their bond is trapping him... OUCH and the "jjust get away from me" sobbing and the way pearl gets caught up in the heartline too...

0:30 i love how scott didn't immediately go and push pearl away, he was indulging in this embrace for a second. it's like a part of him remembers what they used to be like and maybe want to be together again, but he's still upset at what he thought was her abandonment of him and disregard for his safety, and how he still views their tied strings as a hindrance.

I like the idea that, while he was fighting with Pearl, Scott accidentally (or not) broke the soulmate bond because he wrapped it around his hands earlier and was waving his arms around wildly.

This song fits their relationship so well. Scott twisting the string around his arm, and by doing this Pearl gets tangled it. It shows how Scott didn't want to be soulmates, while Pearl did. Scott says, well I never wanted this, showing how he preferred to be with Cleo. In the beginning you put a clip from Last life, I love how you included both of the series. Please make more Double Life animations, and maybe even Hermitcraft. This is great, as always Wolfy

hshfhslapajfiaoh and the way she leaned into him and for a moment you could tell his resolve was starting to crumble before snapping back twice as sharp just emboldens the fact that they were both hurting in their own ways; scott's response just seemed to include a lot more lashing out this is so good

Love how the background for the DL parts are grey and stormy, while the Last Life flashbacks are bright and blue and colourful. It’s like the color and beauty of their relationship is gone.

Wolfy, mate, you nailed this. The strings being wrapped around their wrists, Scott doing it purposely to show how he felt trapped and Pearl’s inadvertently getting tangled as she tries to get closer to Scott. Her moving closer because she wants her soulmate so badly while Scott’s already made up his mind but he wavers when she hugs him before pushing her away. The camera circling around them and Pearl slowly looking more and more desperate/unhinged while Scott’s almost in tears at the end…chef’s kiss.

Gosh, this is amazing Wolfy! The way Scott treated the bond like a restraint (purposefully wrapping the bond around his wrists like a handcuff) while Pearl only got tangled up in the bond and loved him too much, and how expressive Pearl is compared to Scott's almost dismissive gaze even the ending, Pearl was full-on sobbing and Scott was only holding back minor tears. i love this :D
