I love how in 0:42 we see everyone's perception of her. Grian and Scar were mostly allied with her and respected her, bdubs was concerned about being near her, Joel was was trying to one-up her in being unhinged the whole season, and Etho just went with it; and impulse was just "what the

"Woman in total control of herself" really suits 5 A.M. Pearl because she was the one taking THE most risks without dying due to any of those(except one). Jumping off heights, barging into red territory, mocking hitting the Reds, actively inciting them. Nobody other than her would have gained the courage to do that without shivering at the thought for once.
Also the W.I.T.C.H abbreviation was amazing considering how Ren dubbed her "Witch" since his death!
(I actually don't know if the original song meant to make this abbreviation, or the DL scenes coincidentally matched the lyrics to Pearl's title!

Since she was pretty much red skin the entire time I love how her eyes change from yellow to red to symbolize her number of lives.

happy 2 years since the release of the animation that got me into the life series! this single handedly made me watch pearl’s entire double life series, and every other life series shortly afterward, plus pearl’s other series!
this is absolute peak art and storytelling

This video lead me to watch the series and this is easily the best rendition of events.

Perfect song choice, too. "She aint out to get ya, but she's better on your side." perfectly sums up the Scarlet Pearl in that series.

0:40 most of us didn't hindsight how Scar normalizing Pearl when others reject her would sometimes become a advantage for him. So this frame where scar is first hidden behind grian instead of being viewed the same way as the other five has aged well.

Didn't notice it at first but I love in 0:52 instead of using a fishing rod Pearl uses her heart strings making the saying "Tugging your heartstrings" very literally. I love the detail in this animation/animatic!

The song matched her character. Her ex does think she's a WICKED WITCH. The song sarcastically says that the woman is in total control of ourself when she is not, perfectly matched pearl. She gets what she wants, everyone thinks she is the bad guy when she is not, she is just misunderstood. The reds are scared of her. She's a total queen. I had to check if this song was an original song or it already exists, as I could not believe this song was NOT written specifically for pearl's character.

Besides, the animation is gorgeous too. All those smiles and smirks and winks, pearl just looks unhinged and total chaotic. Pearl looks gorgeous, her stunning hair and everything, like HOW DO YOU DO THIS?? WITCHCRAFT??

I feel like Pearl is the main character for the series, her pov is just so epic. She has a heartbreak, is misunderstood, when she ties to team up with others she messes up and they think peal is the enemy, FRICKING REDS FEAR HER, in the end she has revenges and, of course, wins. Sounds very main character to me.

Seeing pearl attend the Red Gathering on yellow life is awesome. It is not an honour for her to join the red gathering, but an honour for the reds to have the 5:00 a.m. lady join them.

In all honesty, This is my favourite 5 am pearl animation I've seen, and I've seen a LOT.

Gosh I love the way the background color suggesting pearl's mental state, from calm cold dark blue to brilliant bright bloody red, almost like the red is a mist engulfs pearl, only when Scott sacrificing himself does the red fades into blue again, I absolutely adore this animatic

Like. I’ll say it again on every video I come across of double life, which is based off Pearl.
Highly worth watching the series though her perspective, even if she isn’t one of the Hermits you commonly watch.
Was very glad to learn the ending too. Cause not going to lie, she honestly deserved it.
