I do appreciate the route they went in this run. It never quite made sense to me that a radiation monster would be that stupidly strong, especially with a world with magic and gods. I subscribed to the idea that Hulk was potentially the cosmic entity of strength, and this is kind of close to that.

TOBA Hulk is what Marvel characters feared would happen if left unchecked, [Without Banner at the helm]. Everyone assumed his strength was limitless or had the potential of no finite limit.

This is that potential they were referring to, as Hulk literally became the living personification of The One Above All, wrath. Hulk has always been referred to be many things, but mostly referred to as "a force of nature"

I got possible future vibes from it. Like it'd only come to pass of TOAA actually ever decided he'd let his other face have that much impact, and/or if Hulk ever let that much hate into his heart that TOBA could take root in him.

Isn't it like, the future of Days of Future Past/ Bishop or Cable's grim futures for mutantkind just sort of exist in a perpetual ambiguity? Like there's still a chance they could happen but for the most part the various degrees of time travel enabled prevention measures have indefinitely delayed those futures? That's what I think the fates of Franklin, Mr Immortal and the Hulk plagued 9th cosmos are like if that makes sense.

Plus it's supposed to be like, eons upon eons before the multiverse is supposed to be reset. We're talking such an amount of time passing that our real life grey matter minds literally cannot even begin to comprehend the passage of. That is to say, there's plenty of time for things to change, be delayed or even be reverted in the timeline of the current multiverse.

And all that is to say, yeah who knows what series of events is supposed to happen. Could be Leader just got a glimpse at a possible future. Same as if he somehow peered into DofP or Hulk: The End.

Y'all a little lost, so let me explain. This is still the Hulk, granted with a power boost, but still Hulk nonetheless. How it's been portrayed and widely accepted is that, TOBA, is the counteracting force to TOAA and possesses Hulk to become Cosmic Immortal Hulk or TOBA Hulk. However, as it's been revealed in the final issue of the Immortal Hulk run, TOBA is not a being himself, but more like that of a "mask" for the darker side of TOAA's power. What was also revealed in the final issue is that TOAA created Hulk to be his counterweight, but seeing as Hulk doesn't naturally have TOAA countering level power, it needs a source. This is basically what TOBA is, a tub of power that's flowing into another, not so much taking over. While it does still infect Hulk and kill Bruce, this is still Hulk. Hulk is already made up of "TOBA's" power anyway, seeing as gamma is directly linked to it. This is just him juiced up, not "possesed." I think better terminology would be gamma over dosage. Sounds like a good comic series ngl.
