For those accusing me of becoming a "doomposter" and only seeing the negatives, I need to make one thing extremely clear to you all. I am a human. I have my own opinions. We can disagree. I'm not going to like EVERYTHING in the world. I'm not going to LIE and SAY I like everything in the world. This is the first character in Natlan I've said I simply dislike the character design of. Please get a grip, and learn that people will have differing opinions. It's not that deep and it's not the end of the world. Learn nuance and stop being so negative when someone shares a different opinion to you, it's childish and immature. Not like I'm saying if you like the character design you're wrong. If you want people to be genuine on the internet, stop acting like they can only be positive, it's tiring.

I really just don't understand the half-shorts and half-pants she wears, but the rest is okay and I love the hat! Hope that her story makes me like her more. And her design seems worse to me when we compare with her sister design that is so much more pleasant (my opinion).

Chasca looks fine, but her face immediately reminds me of old makeup games because it's BOLD

It's highly likely Chasca's design is based on the fact she was raised by a Qucusaurus and is part of Flower-Feather Clan. The one takeaway that I find really interesting is that her color scheme moves away from her element color. I'm waiting to see if we can get more of her lore from the next patch.

I actually like her overall design a lot. She was my favorite in the trailer, but there's something off about the way her face was modeled in-game.

I think It's fine if you don't like the design of a character. I mean if it's not your design preference then it is not your design preference. The problem here is people like to take a negative opinion (especially from a content creator) and make a hate wagon out of it. 😵

Personally, I love her colors. Very popular color choices for traditional woven clothing.

For her aesthetic, actual pants would work so well. The neck area I have no idea what's going on, and her top being more substantial would be a good touch (though not necessary).

It honestly just feels weird with a big hat, tons of accessories, and then besides the shoes basically in swimsuit territory.

Her design in-game is weird, but in the latest xilonen trailer and in this art, I think they fixed it a bit? I personally don't have problem with her design, but I can see why people dislike it.

Okay the comment section seems to not understand why people not liking her design i can give at least 1 explanation. Her design is too loud.

You see while yes genshin likes its asymmetry and over detailing how a design can work is by balancing how the detail is distributed. Cause you see if the design has too much going on genshin would use less color palette to balance out the design.
Same with if the design is too simple they'll add more contrasting colors.

With casca her skin with black already makes a beautiful contrast and with how complicated her design is she NEEDS a more softer gradient color to balance out her design. Instead we got bombarded by harsh red and blue and the constant high contrast colors with the overcomplicated design would generally overstimulates a person seeing it and makes people thinks she's ugly when she's not just her outfit is.
