Tina Turner shut down Mike Wallace’s sleazy ‘60 Minutes’ sex questions: CBS employee | New York Post

Tina Turner once scolded “60 Minutes” journalist Mike Wallace after he repeatedly made sleazy remarks about her sex appeal, a former CBS employee alleges.

Leslie Molson, who worked at CBS between 1996 and 2004, took to Twitter Thursday to claim she saw unreleased footage of an interview Wallace conducted with Turner, in which she abruptly halted production due to his inappropriate behavior.

“One assignment I had at ’60 Minutes’ was to watch old raw (unedited) interview footage, for some reason I can’t recall,” Molson began her lengthy Twitter thread, which has been viewed more than 650,000 times.

“So I watched the raw footage of a 1996 Mike Wallace interview with Tina Turner.”

Tina was right to have put Mike Wallace in his place for asking dumb questions which aimed at downgrading her art. It was like identifying actors with their roles, and instead of admiring their art in creating new images and feelings for the public, trying to cast a shadow on their personal life and career.

Is sad to see how a genius like she was undervalorated in her country, and how she is all the interview justifying herself. We can se a hardworker and strong women simply trying to do what she want to do!

Also we can see how the focus of the interview is about her age to do concerts, her divorce from an abuser, if she has a relationship with a man a decade younger than her, also if she wears wigs or if she does makeup ... Really?
