I never looked at it this way. You have opened my eyes!

Hey Dwong, could you answer this question I have? Would the souls in hell experience time the same way we do? Because you hold the view that they are in the material universe, not outside it. How does all this work? Would the souls in hell just literally burn with literal fire for all eternity? If they can experience time and space, how then can they not repent, since by fact that their souls are experiencing pain with material forces (fire/heat)? I am trying to understand your view and am not really getting it. PS I love your videos, bro.

Worth noting that St. Thomas elsewhere thought that man could not know where hell is. See his letter to Bassiano of Lodi on the 36 articles. He talks about the location of hell in articles 24 and 25

Thanks! I always thought he’ll was in the earth, this reaffirms my beliefs

In CanterCord we were debating your video. Everyone else said they believe hell has no location, that scripture and saints are wrong. Only myself and Elijah were willing to defend your video. But they refused to accept what the Lord's holy word said

wishing you all the best and asking you to reconsider this overtly literal way of understanding the ways of God and the dark

Very interesting.
I always thought “three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” was a way of saying He would be buried in the grave for 3 days.
I always imagined Heaven being above and hell being below as different dimensions that are above and below this physical dimension (“above” as in greater than in glory and majesty, and “below” as in less than; void of glory and majesty- a place deprived of any of God blessings- a place of darkness and despair and hopelessness)
I imagined hell an another dimension, with no physicality, that will be thrown into the lake of fire on the day of judgement.

Actually, it makes sense that God would restrict the movement of the sinful souls, that are after all invisible and immaterial to us, to the earth and not allow them to explore the stars.

Gospel of Matthew 27:50-53: But Jesus cried out again in a loud voice, and gave up his spirit.
And behold, the veil of the sanctuary was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked, rocks were split,
tombs were opened, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised.
And coming forth from their tombs after his resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many.

By deduction, if the bodies of saints were raised from tombs beneath the earth after Christ's resurrection, then where else would those be who were not saints and were not raised from tombs beneath the earth?

I've thought this since I was a child, it is intuitive that hell would be below.

Kind of weird to go into Catholic tradition about this and not touch on Dante.

Objection: "Dante's Divine Comedy is not canon in the Catholic Church, it's just fiction!!!!"

Reply to objection: sure, but Dante synthesizes in an almost perfect manner cosmology as was universally taught in the Middle Ages (ie true Christian civilization) and held by all Catholics to be common knowledge. He didn't just come up with his system of the world as it is divided into the Pit of Hell, Mount Purgatory and the Celestial Spheres, but he's echoing the teaching of Christian knowledge. Of course, even if you don't take him literally, there's also profound meaning in every description he gives.

Okay, someone help me with this one. Is it fine to say that (hell/purgatory) is in the outer core layer of the earth because the inner core layer is solid iron and nickel. While the outer core layer is liquid. Or am I misunderstanding the nature of hell and purgatory? Obviously, I don't want to deny this evidence from the scriptures and saints. Also, I saw a comment about if we could theoretically dig to hell or purgatory, and the response was, "God would prevent it." To me, this sounded like cope, but highly likely I'm wrong. So, thanks to whoever can help me with understanding this stuff.

Does that mean if we ever manage to mine down into the core we can see hell?

I could see that after the resurrection and new earth and all that but why would there be a physical location holding immaterial souls currently? How exactly would that work? I acknowledge the scripture that these church fathers are quoting, but I don’t see why those verses have to be physical. Below the earth is where people bodies are buried so the dead are below us and hell is a dark and low place that metaphorically works as a place “below” and all that

Wouldnt a planet with a hollow core collapse due to gravity sucking all into the the empty space in the middle

I don't think it's really an important question, everyone knows heaven and hell are immaterial or from a different realm

How can a soul be within material core of the earth

If Hell is a place where God is not, and if God is everywhere in the universe, then wouldn't Hell be outside this universe?
