Do I need a second battery pack if I purchased a solar panel? Or will it benefit me at all

We purchased our first spotlight Cam last week and we love it however did notice battery was not lasting as long as we want it so have now purchased a solar panel hoping to do the job at worst case will buy another battery... But have to say we love the product especially being wireless will certainly be getting another one just hoping they have them on sale come black Friday.

Skips a step, to slide the mount off the camera, you need to either depress or eject the spring loaded cap (which you can see is gone when he holds it once it’s off)

My panel's plug is just a plug (no screw mounts). How do you know the panel is working? Should the solar status change from Not Established to something else? You should include that in your video. Will the status change be immediate if the panel is receiving sufficient sunlight?

I have the battery operated spotlight cam and will soon be purchasing the solar panel to keep the batteries charged. Is it possible to mount the solar panel horizontally? It will be more obscure if I'm able to mount it that way and will still capture at least 6 hrs. of sunlight each day. Thanks.

Curious, why do you have two batteries? Doesn't the solar panel continuously charge a single battery, thus there is no advantage to having a second battery? Not sure. Thanks!
