Yes, don't google your symptoms if you're a hypocrondriac. But with the cost of medical care being so high in the US, I understand why one's first instinct is to do an internet search instead of going to the doctor. Some people are one medical bill away from poverty. It would be easier to forget Google, reddit etc... and to go straight to the doctor if medical care didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I only Google my symptoms if I'm really concerned & I ALWAYS discuss it with my doctor & get her professional opinion & treatment.

I totally get this and practice it too. But sadly I have discovered via Google I have diabetes, vestibular neuritis. My doctor could not tell it me 😅 but I try to be careful with it.

I use to search in Google about extended menstruation like why do I experienced it, n Google just basically says that I'm loosing a lot of blood. But when I got to the doctor. It is different that what Google says n what the real doctor says(= . Which really makes me worried. I have someone I know who told me to stop, n just go to the real doctor if I'm worried(= . I think when I watched it on Youtube. It is somehow also a relieved to know(= .

Maybe if doctors were doing their jobs we wouldn't have to google symptoms? 😎

yeah sorry but i am physically disabled from genetic conditions that advanced beyond control because all the times i brought up issues I was told it was "anxiety". i understand the drs. side of this argument but time and time and time again am i finding that with other people with my condition and even regular friends who go through their own health issues, we're getting written off as psychosomatic head cases when we actually have real serious physical chronic illnesses.
if drs truly want paitents to stop playing dr google they have to start playing an actual dr

Let's put it this way...I have no right to speak...but I swore I had blood clots..I mean if I had to bet every dollar and everything I owned...I would of swore I had them...my father biological father apperently has them...and I went to e.r and asked for test and they even ultrasounded my legs and upper thighs and etc. The girl said nothing. In fact you actually have pretty healthy veins. So....idk.
