Great video, but for those of us who are seldom under the car, showing a quick demo of the types of bolts used to attach splash guard to car and a speeded up version of removing/adding the splash guard might be helpful. Loved the acting! "What is that noise"...lol. Thank you!

Awesome, thank you! My engine shield on my 2018 Dodge Journey got broke, but no holes or any pieces missing. Temporarily, I put duct tape on the outside, but it isn't staying well. I am not much of a mechanic, and I have tight finances, so I was thinking of taking it off and repairing it. My wife does not trust my mechanical 'expertise' (as I am no expert, lol)! She would doubt that fixing it would work and that replacement isn't necessary. Having this video, I can convince her that repairing it should be acceptable! Again, thank you! Very helpful. A portion of my under body cracked and now the splash shield drags. While I wont fix it myself, it makes me feel better about : 1)understanding why it needs to be fixed, and 2) going to the mechanic to discuss the issue and price. Thanks!

Thank you for teaching me something new (a woman). Not a pleasant sound when driving, but helpful to know what the cause was. 😂loose bolts or no bolts resulting in a currently bent underbody fabric cover. Now needing a replacement part or fixer-upper patch

These splash shields are such a pain and overly expensive to replace. Great helpful video on how to patch it for free. Im going to try something similar. Mine is hanging and i need screws to put it in place. I used some zip ties like you. Amazing video. Thank you.

Thank you for the quick fix! I have a jack and both plastic ties and heavy duty duct tape so I'm going to try this out on my 2018 Honda Fit 🙌

Luckily mine wasn't cracked, or I would have had to take it someplace to get it removed to do the twist tie trick. Not everyone has access to a lift. However, the bolts holding it on my Honda Fit (cheap plastic) had broken off. So the twist tie solution was genius. You saved me from taking to a shop. Can't say thank you enough for posting this clever fix. Need I say that next to duct tape, twist ties are one of the best inventions EVER!

Great video and explanation! My husband has replaced the clips/screws a few times over the years and it seems like every time the dealership changes the oil, the clips somehow come up missing! My car is a 2016 and now the shield is scraped up so bad that the holes are rubbed away and I have no choice but to replace the whole shield.
