This didn't happen 30 years ago. Nobody died from snorting a small amount of coke. What a nightmare.

The father crying about his children's loss is just heartbreaking.

I'm a 45-year-old man who doesn't show much emotion but when I seen the little girl innocently playing with her toy knowing she would never see her mother again then see the father break down I totally lost it haven't cried like that in years rip to these people

I lost my 24 year old daughter to fentanyl in July. It's heartbreaking. I hope losing their sister has taught my sons that no drug is safe. I can only preach at them so much.

Just because these young adults made a bad decision to use cocaine does NOT mean they deserve to die!!!

I visited a friend in LA after not seeing him for over 15 years. We just sat in his living room and talked for hours, lots to catch up on. Two weeks later he died from a fentanyl overdose. I have mourned quite a few tragic deaths in my life but that one hit me hard. The circumstances are so unfair. Don't think for a second this is a unique story. Fentanyl is the grim reaper incarnate.

That’s so scary, I’m glad my partying days are over, cause back in the day, we did take recreational drugs on weekends….And we didn’t have concerns where or who we got it from back then…

Lost my uncle to fentanyl laced pills. He was only 57 years and survived cancer, asthma, and type 1 diabetes. To lose him this way was so incredibly painful. 40% of all street drugs are laced with fentanyl. Please don't play Russian roulette with your life 🙏🏼😢💔

Give it up. Drugs are not worth the chances of dying

It kills me that the father is hurting knowing his kids are in pain and don’t know how to express it or deal with it and it only gets worse as they grow up. Hopefully he can be that pillar of strength they need in their life’s.

Now it’s getting into the elementary and high schools. 2 people I know smoked something laced and haven’t been in their right minds since.
2 other people I know overdosed but thank God, they recovered. People are dying younger and younger.

I grew up through the oxycontin period. I started using pain pills because they were easily prescribed, I went to using oxycontins because everybody had them and you could buy them from somebody and be high for multiple days off little pieces. Well little do you know your tolerance jumps up so fast, especially if you come back to the drug after being sober. Anyways I ended up becoming a heroin addict for about 15 years. Fentanyl started getting introduced into heroin towards the last 3 to 4 years of my addiction, I honestly didn't like any of my stuff being cut with fentanyl because the high is very strong and does not have a half-life like actual heroin. So you're sick within 4 to 5 hours, where is if you're using heroin you're actually okay for 10 hours before you start feeling the symptoms of being sick. These days people are getting pure fentanyl and we have just fentanyl addicts. It's actually such a dangerous drug, because if you're not using everyday and you don't have a tolerance it wouldn't take much for you to stop breathing and never wake up. I wish that I would have talked about my problems instead of trying to cope with it by self-medicating I wouldn't have had to gone through all the troubles of being traumatized just from the drug life alone. 15 to 20 years of addiction, got me 9 years locked up, homeless, multiple rehabs and to this day I still struggle with it, but I've been clean majority of these last 5 years. I pray that nobody ever has to go through the addictions of an opiate addict

I am SO grateful I got help and cleaned up in 04, we had no fent in 415 yet to speak of and as an IV junky bum it would have def been in my story. I DO NOT miss the whole drug scene at all anymore.. The cartels dope has nothing to do w recreation in my eyes. RIP people

This is seriously heartbreaking and seeing that father and her kids just made me lose it. They didn’t deserve this! I lost my brother to a fentanyl overdose and I know he thought he was doing something else and my mom is grieving really bad this year and November 22nd was his 5yrs of being gone, the holidays are so so hard for my mom and family. He passed in 2017 & it was the day bf thanksgiving and even after 5 years it’s just not the same. What a tragedy 😢
