Get an equip 2 person hammock (comfortable for 1 lol) with a bugnet and a 12 x 12 ft tarp, some rolls of paracord of course. This way if you are ever stuck somewhere you can chill in the hammock in any weather, it's easy to set up too

The name "72 hour kit" implies that it is for short camping/backpacking trips, but even if it isn't, those contents have parts of the hiking essentials, so here are 2 more:
Satellite GPS system and/or compass
And a headlight.

Leatherman Swiss army knife zippo and fluid for the zippo. In my kit I keep 2 bic lighters a zippo and a stiking rod it's always good to have somthing like that you will never know when you need a good ol reliable zippo. And keep the flint from regular bic lighters they work just fine in zippos

The only thing I see missing is a flint and steel. May need to start a fire if you run out of rations.
