I had that happen once The washing machine grab the front of my van and started tearing apart my van while I was inside of it I tried backing up hit the wall behind me but the thing kept coming and kept ripping apart the front of my van delaminated the hood it was horrible I eventually in frustrations laid on the horn and the machine finally stops I don't know if it was a timer or if it was the sound of the horn or what it was one of those automated car washes

I actually had to call the police because I was locked inside the car wash it had doors front and back that closed around you I didn't dare climb out the window because if the machine started up again while I was halfway out the window it would probably have enough strength to cut me in half since it had no problem ripping apart the front of my van :-)

The police arrived and did something to disable the machine open the door and allowed me to drive out the cop one of the hold ornaments so I let him have it

The car wash company was kosher about everything they took care of it and paid to have it repaired

Sorry about your incident. Perhaps lowing down the antenna might have prevented the incident.

Already broken. Cable ties on antenna are not factory. Not to mention you should remove your antenna if it is not lowerable.

Same thing happened to mine. Have you ever had the windshield replaced? If so was it safe lite? They did a crappy job on mine broke all the tabs around the windshield. Couple months later that piece came off of mine

The top of the antenna wouldn't be attached if the body was ripped out from the brushes

That sucks but the fact is at car washes you take the chance of ur car getting damaged I’m sure if you walked around you would find a sign that says they aren’t liable… this is why I always say wash it urself instead of driving thru

Doesn’t even look like it was there no damage to the metal clips and I’ve never seen white zip ties as an oem part

If they paid you out for this you are a fraudster. Even if the white zip ties weren’t part of the issue, I have never seen a car with a visible antenna go through a car wash in my life
