Our hands created the perfect cupped pop when you came into the house. I had forgotten that. It’s the sign of a lifelong friendship when that happens. Going to add reverb to that sound right now.

This is probably the best studio tour video on your channel. Really enjoyed the commentary and absolutely love his sense of humour!

Tony Anderson is the most chaotic person who makes the most chill music.

Inspiring stuff, I’m 43, and just about to build my first home mini studio, since my oldest son has moved out, the younger kids are moving rooms, finally leaving a tiny room free for me. There is very limited space and i have loads of gear stacked up in boxes waiting to move it all in and set it up (waiting for it to be painted and new carpets go down). Watching this video makes me extremely jealous of the space, the gear, the quality, the amount of synths, the vintage synths….urrrgh…..but at the same time I’m thankful that I’m going to be able to enjoy even just a small fraction of that in my own space now.

I will be moving to a much bigger house in the next couple of years, and will finally have a dedicated space for my music, so will definitely come back to watch this video in the future for inspiration.

Oh and that COFFEE MACHINE!….. I can smell it from here!.

Tony is one of the most fun people to hang out with and I think i’m going to have to get at least 2 synths now.

I love how he keeps his synths on racks, then moves them over to his main desk to play. That makes so much sense. 1) You are always facing the speakers when playing. 2) In front of the computer/keyboard to easily punch in/out. 3) being able to sit and concentrate. I'm thinking of mimicking this. Just brilliant idea.

I dream about a day I realize @Tony Anderson has created a masterclass. A deep dive into his mind and approach to creation. Please please please please please.... Consider It. I would give all my time and energy to help make it happen and when the project is done, I will buy a copy of it.

I love how much he knows about his gear, and how much he knows he still has to learn. Going to subscribe to Tony's channel now. Thanks for sharing! My takeaway here is that I really need a CLK GTR model on my desk.

My fav episode so far, love his humour and his way of thinking, great room and that piano setup is awesome, being a synth nerd myself I love his choice of them, after this I'm going to check him out, I'm getting into ambient myself so keen to have a listen to his work, you guys are so inspiring and proves that these studio's are definitely doable, thank you both for the inspiration, massive respect so cool

Tony is literally my favorite composer of all time. I'm inspired by his work and also inspired by his lifestyle. Amidst the craziness in life, this guy is loving his family, loving his friends, loving his work. I thank God for your life, Tony. May everyone be inspired by your simplicity. Thank you, Andrew for this amazing tour.

Freaking love Tony Anderson. Such a normal down to earth person. Makes his music that much more meaningful.

Inspiring Room. Reminds me of Christian Henson's shed...the permanent fixed space pair on the piano is a must for quick and seamless composition. Its like shoes...if they're difficult and annoying to get on your feet every morning, you will never wear them. Find the path of least resistance and allow your ideas to flow.

Amazing studio tour, one of the best yet! Tony interjects the perfect amount of humor and self deprecating humor to keep things light, but make no mistake about it, this is a highly specialized setup by someone very intent on becoming a master of their craft and honing their skillset in a way that is reflected by the way the studio is setup and gear choices, and there is some absolutely killer gear in that studio, the piano corner sounds so warm and vibey, just beautiful!

This is the exact same reason I'm starting to go analoug. .... The shoulder pain from RSI with mouse use is a killer man!

$35k on studio monitors, $16k on a pair of condenser microphones, etc tells me this a home studio that is only a home studio because it happens to be located in a house; The gear is beyond most home studios. Nice setup though!

Absolutely loved the setup, but appreciated his attitude on enjoying life even more. Nicely done.

Came for the studio tour, stayed for the coffee nerding!
One thing worth mentioning because I hear people say it now and again. When Tony says ‘Coles 4038s are noisy’ - they are passive, so they don’t make any noise at all. They’re low output/sensitivity so if you’re cranking your mic pre gain you’ll notice any noise present in the preamps. The active part of the AEA44s is increasing the level so the preamps can stay out of the noisy range. You could use a cloudlifter/fethead etc to get a similar result. The AEA44s are insane mics though and plenty of reason to use those regardless.
