So awesome! No one talks about this as black! I'm gonna try it. At the very least it is practice with defending, which I think a lot of puzzles and trainers don't prepare you for. But actually a lot of the lines are very logical as you point out. If you remember the ideas, you will probably be able to rediscover the right moves even if you didn't memorize them perfectly.

I love it when I'm black and white goes for the Fried Liver Attack. Not so I can play these lines, but so I can play the Traxler Counterattack.

I had black three times in one day OTB. 3 wins against this. I've found that once you've survived until move 8 or 9, the players who tried this as white are totally flabbergasted realizing it didn't work and start to fall apart. Thanks, man. Chess (good) vibes!

Honestly really great way of presenting. Love how when you went back to certain positions you would recap the options we had in the position and the right move for the line you just covered before moving on to another line. Really helped to remind me of the position and the options available and our responses before learning the next line.

Good video but I'm not playing that. I like king safety.

What a great video. Today I finally was able to apply the lines in real game and have got 99.2 score. An opponent hanged his queen though but it's his problem )
Really appreciate your effort Nelson

“If you don’t get checkmated you’re going to win the game”. Love that.

Really love seeing a full analysis of an opening like this. Great stuff.

I love when new videos appear saying '100% win rate by doing this' or '90% win rate just by doing this' and you or someone else make a video and show how to beat them :)

This was a great walk through. I play fried liver as white AND black cause at my ELO rating of 1200...

...not many people know the lines all the way through so i come out ahead either way.

The plan is to get my rating to go up as high as it can before everyone else catches onto the full lines.

I haven't listened to and watched a better chess tutorial. Fantastic. Now, if white will kindly accommodate us by letting herself become fully committed to the fried liver attack . . . Wow!!!

@13:27 When black king moves to e7, queen can move to f7 check and protect white bishop. Then take the rook with knight. Sorry if I missed something.

Very helpful! The mousetrap illustration made me laugh too :)

"I checked with the Stockfish, Stockfish says it's better for black...". Man, Stockish lost by black against Alpha Zero or Leela Zero in Fried Liver Attack

Hey Nelson, I remember watching this video when I was trying to wrap my head around the Fried Liver and it helped me a lot. I've just gone and made an even deeper video (an hour long one) on this subject following as many move 9 variations white could make in the Fried Liver and how it could be countered by Black as well as many mistakes that could be made as the position gets more complicated. I also found one of the most ridiculous engine lines I've ever seen with three brilliant moves involving sacrifices. It's a really fun opening and I try and play it often especially with Black.

I played the Two Knights in my 2nd tournament game many years ago and suffered a Fried Liver and received a double checkmate lol. Id much rather play 5...Na5 or 5...Nd4

It's worth learning every line against this. Over half your games as Black will probably involve some form of Bc4 & Ng5 shenanigans all the way up to 1500 or higher. I'm teaching a friend every way to play around it as they approach the 800 level because of how prominent it is.

Thanks for the video. 😀👍
